The Arrowhead region of Northern Minnesota is tucked in between Lake Superior and the Canadian border and home to some of the state's most interesting towns, best museums, oldest historic sites and the deepest wilderness east of the Mississippi. Due to its 11,000+ lakes, Minnesota has more shoreline than California and Florida combined. Covering a surface area of 31,280 square miles with 2,726 miles of shoreline, Lake Superior is the largest body of fresh water in the world. In addition, over 92,000 miles of rivers and streams cross the state, including our greatest river, the Mississippi, which originates in Northern Minnesota.
"Here was peace and quiet..."
- Sigurd Olson, journal entry, The River
This lot includes 200 feet of frontage on the Paleface River, a beautiful and wild small river. The Paleface River is approximately 50 miles inland from Lake Superior. Lot #2 is heavily wooded with mature birch and pine trees. There is a wonderful small (10' x 10') island on the river that could be used as a fishing deck. A large acreage across the river is included in the lot. A rough road has been cut to the river; electric lines are available at the property line. Wildlife in the area includes the white tailed deer, beaver, black bear and timber wolf.
